Amerikanska Jessica Hardy betraði í dag um sítt heimsmet í 50 metra bringusvimjing á stuttgeil, við næstan einum hálvum sekundi, frá 29.36 á World Cup í Moskva seinasta leygardag, til 28.96 nú á World Cup í Stockholmi í dag. Harvið er hon fyrsta kvinna undir 29 sekund í 50 metra bringusvimjing, á sama hátt sum hon her í august gjørdist fyrsta kvinna undir 30 sekund. Næstar eftir Hardy vóru avstralska Leisel Jones 30.15 og norska Katharina Stiberg við 30.45, finska Katja Lehtonen við 30.63 og svenska Jennie Johansson við 30.64. Danska Rikke Møller Pedersen endaði tíverri heilt afturi sum nr 13 og uttanfyri finalu, við tíðini 31.45. Sí úrslit
Hetta er sjúkt… hóast Phelps setti persónligt stuttgeila-met, og hóast hann er heimsmeistari á langgeil frá Rom í summar, so gjørdist hann bara nr 11 í innleiðandi 100 firvald, nú í Stockholm.
OK, stuttgeilametið hjá honum má hava verið veikt, síðani hann nú kann betra um tað við tíðini 51.06, har hansara langgeilamet er 50.22.

Phelps er sostatt bara við í finalu í 200 blandað í kvøld, har hann fekk næstbestu tíð, aftanfyri svian Simon Sjödin
Hansara langeilamet er… what? Run that by me one more time plz 😉
USA vs SRB – 100m Butterfly – Roma’09 – Rókur was there :o)
Vónandi hevur harra Alzheimer ikki heilt vaska alt burtur enn. :o)
Eg taldi ikki hasi har ikki-enn-góðkendu metini við. Undir øllum umstøðum, so sær tað út til at hann svimur skjótari á langgeil enn stuttgeil, enn.
“Swam with a hole in my suit this am and just tried enough to not get 9th again, WOW, went a 28 in 50 breast! SO happy n excited to go again!”

Hetta kundi verið Bjarnason, sum brokkar seg her: “The hotel just woke me up from my nap to give me a congrats card and book – very nice but I’m an insomniac during meets n needed my sleep!!”

“A day after failing to climb out of the morning preliminaries in two non-specialty events, Phelps wore a textile, waist-to-knee ”jammer” again and couldn’t get out of the first round in an event in which he is considered the world’s most skilled swimmer, and in which he holds the world record in 50-meter pools.”
…
“Michael is Michael,” French world-record holder Amaury Leveaux said. “If he takes a full swimsuit, I think he is still the best.”
Leveaux and a few other competitors — largely from the United States and France, where the suits already have been banned — also wore short, textile suits and also struggled mightily for the second straight day.
In the 200 freestyle, Leveaux, fellow Frenchmen Fabien Gilot and Gregory Mallet wore jammers and finished six, seven and six seconds below their qualifying times in 46th, 51st and 54th places. Wearing briefs in the 50 backstroke, Frenchman Pierre Roger finished two seconds below his qualifying time, and 37th overall.
“In short-course, the start, the turns, the kicks, in the water it goes really fast,” Roger said. “The suits change everything. It’s not the same sport … It’s not the same swimming, it’s not the same effort. Everything is so different.”

Áðrenn hasir feitu og sera klárt, í ongum formi, svimjibumsarnar siga alt for nógv, so var eitt heiðursmerki í 100m frí vunni av svimjara í svimjibuksum, eingin undirvatnssvimjing, bert svimjing… VENJING!
Ja tær hjálpa, men seriøst, teir gera hetta til eitt sirkus. Og hetta er tann effektin sum eg alla tíðina havi sagt vildi koma. ½ av teimun eru vekk næsta summar, tí teir tíma ikki at venja so hart aftur.
A ja, okkurt lærir man allíkavæl av Twitter.
Tá ið Jessica Hardy skrivar: “Dom’s mom in the house! So fun to have some support here in Germany! And a total of 5 Trojans are competing here, so fun!”, so meinar hon nokk við sveisiska Dominik Meichtry, sum sambært Wikipedia er hennara “longtime boyfriend”. Ein sveisi sum Pál nú hevur vunnið á nakrar ferðir.
